After 3 years of living and working in Paris, I’ve decided to say ‘au revoir’ to the city of lights and take on a new adventure in the Pays Basque (the southwest of France).
It’s not easy to make a decision like this. After all the relationships I’ve built with my students over the past years and having a chance to watch them learn and grow, I certainly feel a bittersweet mix of feelings. But luckily enough, the Pays Basque is not too far away from Paris by plane or train, and I will continue to work with my students via a mix of monthly returns to Paris and online sessions starting in September.
If this past year and a half, living under confinements has taught me anything, one thing I know for sure is that distance can not come between us. As technology advances, we find ourselves being able to reach out to others, who perhaps we could not have had the chance to meet before.
I look forward to continuing my work with my students in Paris and elsewhere, while supporting new students who wish to ignite their passion for music in a fun, creative way.
Thank you to all of those students, friends and family members who continue to support me during both an overwhelming and exciting transition.
Stay tuned for more news to come as I make this transition!
